How to make any day your best day ever!

If I were to ask you, “What was the best day of your life?” what would you say? Most of us would likely begin searching our memory for some remarkable event.

But have you ever considered that we might have the ability to make any day our best day ever? I know that might sound unrealistic, but stick with me.

The other day I went to bed feeling completely satisfied, content, and happy. And I thought to myself, “Today was arguably the best day of my life.”

And then I thought, “Why do I feel this way?”

Nothing extra-ordinary happened that day. No remarkable event took place. But as I laid my head on the pillow, I was smiling. I felt so grateful, at peace, and fulfilled. So, what caused me to feel that way? What happened that day?

The next morning I explored the answer through journaling. It was simple. I lived in alignment with my values. That’s it. What made it the best day of my life? I was able to spend time with my kids, I ate healthy, I did my Miracle Morning practice (including exercise), I made progress towards my goals, and got to spend quality time with my wife.

Then I realized that there is a repeatable formula, and you can use it to create the best day of your life on any given day.

I will give you these 3 simple steps to make any day your best day ever.

1. Declare your intentions: Comprehend that experiencing any given day as your best ever is a mindset and a perspective that you are in complete control of. It is based on how you choose to show up to the day, not based on what happens to you. Declare that you are committed to making TODAY the best day of your life, and then…

2. Live your values: Clarify your values and the activities that will allow you to live in alignment with what matters most to you. Remember what made it my best day ever was simply living in alignment with my values (health, fitness, family, goals, etc.) What matters most to you? Get clear on your values, and then…

3. Create your foundational schedule: Once you’re clear on what matters most to you, schedule the activities that will enable you to live in alignment with your values. Creating a foundational schedule means creating recurring activities that make your best day ever simple a matter of doing what you’ve put in your schedule. It really is that simple.

Remember, the quality of your life is always an inner game first. It’s your perspective that determines how you experience your life, and you get to choose that. So, own that power and that responsibility, and make every day the best day of your life.
