In last week’s episode, I talked about how clarifying your vision and values will help set the stage for a Miracle Year in 2025. Today, we’re focusing on the following critical piece of that foundation: Optimizing Your Morning Routine.

Whether you’re new to morning routines or a veteran who’s practiced with SAVERS for years, today’s episode will help anyone create or refine your routine so that you stay motivated and committed to achieving your goals.

I’ll walk you through the process I used to create my ideal morning routine—a routine that’s helped me achieve so much, including running an ultramarathon, doubling my income, and transforming my health and relationships.

You’ll learn why morning routines are the launchpad for a successful day and the steps for designing a routine that aligns with your vision and goals. When you start your mornings with a few minutes of exercise, you create the energy, momentum, and clarity needed to be the best version of yourself.

“Your best year ever is achieved one day at a time, and that starts one morning at a time.”

“If your mornings are chaotic, reactive, or aimless, it is nearly impossible to build a day or a life that is purposeful and aligned with your goals.”

“When you start your day intentionally and in this case, focused on your goals for the year, you create clarity, you create momentum, you're in control, and you are directing your energy toward what matters most to you.”

“Our goals don't achieve themselves. They require consistent focus, attention, intention, and action. And that consistent action starts with that consistent intention every single morning. And that is what your morning routine gives you.”

“The more detailed your visualization, the more powerful it becomes. And then once you visualize the end result of the goals you want to achieve and you see it and you feel it and it’s compelling, it’s a compelling vision for you.”

Hal Elrod: Hello, friends. Welcome back to the Achieve Your Goals podcast. I am your host, Hal Elrod, and today we’re diving into Episode 3 of our Miracle Year podcast series. We’re talking about one of my favorite topics, optimizing your morning routine for 2025. How do you customize and optimize your morning routine so that it is specifically designed to help you achieve your goals? Now, over these four episodes, I’m guiding you through the steps to reflect on the past year, that was Episode 1; to align your goals with your values, Episode 2; to optimize your morning routine, that’s Episode 3, so that again it’s designed to support you in achieving your goals.

And then Episode 4, next week, we’ll bring it all together with a focus on how do you not just take action, but how do you sustain the actions and the habits that you need for the entire year, all 365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months because it’s easier said than done, right? We often start with a lot of momentum, a lot of energy, a lot of excitement, and then can often fall off. And it’s easier to think about what we want to do and need to do than actually to do it. And so, next week, we’re going to talk about how do you get yourself to do the things you need to do, whether you feel like it or not. But again, today we’re diving into one of my favorite topics, optimizing and customizing your morning routine.

Whether it’s a Miracle Morning or some other morning ritual, doesn’t matter, but how do you customize and optimize it so it’s specifically designed to help you achieve your goals in 2025? And your morning routine is the key to starting your day with clarity, focus, and intention. Whether you’re new to morning routines or you’ve been practicing the Miracle Morning for years, I’m going to share tips and strategies today to help you create or refine your routine so that it supports you in staying motivated, maintaining clarity, and staying committed to achieving your goals and setting up for success every single day this year because, of course, your best year ever is achieved one day at a time, and that starts one morning at a time.

First and foremost, it makes sense that today’s episode is brought to you by the Miracle Morning App. It is the one, I should say, the all-in-one app, not just a meditation app, not just an affirmations app, not just a visualization app, not just an exercise app, not just a reading app, not just a journaling app, but all 6 in 1 so that it’s your one-stop shop, if you will, to optimize your mornings and support you in being accountable, staying consistent, and giving you guided meditations, guided affirmations, affirmations prompts, guided visualizations, visualization prompts, book summaries, journaling prompts, you name it.

It is the all-encompassing solution to taking your mornings to the next level. And by the way, it’s optional. I want to be clear. Like, you don’t have to use an app for your morning routine, but you can try it for free for seven days. Go to the App Store or the Google Play store and you’ll be joining tens of thousands of Miracle Morning App subscribers. And that app has a 4.9 out of 5-star rating in the App Store with over 3.8 thousand reviews. So, all those users are loving the app. It’s been transformative and I hope it is for you too.

[EPISODE]

Hal Elrod: Okay. If you’re a Miracle Morning practitioner, I know I am preaching to the choir here, but I think it is important to remind you why your morning routine is so critical, specifically when it comes to helping you achieve your goals. Personally, it was the Miracle Morning that enabled me to double my income in 2008 at the height of the Great Recession because I focused all six of my SAVERS, all of the morning routine practices, the Miracle Morning routine practices were focused on increasing my income. The book I read, the affirmations I created, the visualization that I did, all six Miracle Morning SAVERS practices were focused on the goal of doubling my income, and I did it within two months.

Then in 2009, the next year, I had a huge goal of running an ultra-marathon. I was not a runner and I wanted to run a 52-mile ultra-marathon when I had never run more than the required mile in high school. So, I focused all of my SAVERS on running that ultra-marathon. I read a book called The Non-Runner’s Marathon Trainer. I visualized and mentally rehearsed going for a run each day with energy and enthusiasm that would override my resistance to going for that run. I had affirmations that reminded me and affirmed what I was committed to training and following through to complete that run. And I completed that run six months later.

And then in 2017, my goal was to beat cancer. That was the only goal that mattered for me. So, I aligned all six of my SAVERS, all of my Miracle Morning practices were focused on that goal. And I’m here today so it worked. And, of course, I could share dozens of other goals and examples since I created the Miracle Morning that I have focused my Miracle Morning on and it enhances and turbo charges and increases your capability to achieve your goal. And the simple reason is that your morning routine, of course, it’s the foundation of your day. It sets the tone for your mindset, your energy, your focus. You think if your day was a house or if it were a house, your morning routine would be the concrete foundation.

And the truth is that if your mornings are chaotic, reactive, or aimless, it is nearly impossible to build a day or a life that is purposeful and aligned with your goals. Again, I know some you are nodding along because you’re already a Miracle Morning practitioner, but when you start your day intentionally and in this case, focused on your goals for the year, you create clarity, you create momentum, you’re in control, and you are directing your energy toward what matters most to you. You’re not just hoping you’ll make progress toward your goals and you’re not reacting to your external environment. You’re intentionally designing your day to ensure that what’s most important in relation to your goals gets done.

You can think about it this way. Every single day is an opportunity to take a step closer to your goals or your mission for the year. Your morning routine gives you the clarity to define what that step is then it gives you the motivation. You can generate the motivation that you need to commit to it to follow through and the energy to see it to the end. And with that intentional start, you’re much more likely to not get distracted, not feel overwhelmed, not get sidetracked by life’s inevitable curveballs. And without that intentional start, you’re much more likely to get distracted, to feel overwhelmed, to get sidetracked by life’s curveballs, right?

So, here’s an example. Let’s say your goal is to start a new business. Now, if your mornings begin with a clear plan with affirmations that reinforce your belief in yourself and an even visualization of your success, and reading a book such as I’m reading right now, Get Scalable by Ryan Deiss, which is all about how to build your business in a way that can scale and grow and impact more people, if you start your day that way with the affirmations, the visualization, the reading, the journaling all aligned with your goal of starting that new business, you are much more likely to take bold action toward that goal.

Now, on the other hand, if you start the day scrolling through your phone or rushing out the door without any focus, or even if you have a morning routine, you’re doing a Miracle Morning, but it’s one that’s not aligned with your goal, then you are unintentionally setting yourself up for failure. And here’s why this matters so much. Our goals don’t achieve themselves. This is the Achieve Your Goals podcast, right? They require consistent focus, attention, intention, and action. And that consistent action starts with that consistent intention every single morning. And that is what your morning routine gives you.

It’s the structure to show up, to take action, to make progress so no matter what your goals are, whether they’re related to your health, your relationships, your finances, your career, your personal growth, parenting, whatever they are, your morning routine, I would argue, is the most powerful and consequential tool that you have to create the focus and the energy and the momentum that you need to achieve them.

All right. So, as we move through the rest of this episode, I’m going to show you how to design a morning routine that is specifically aligned with your goals. And again, if you are already a Miracle Morning practitioner, this is going to be great because you’re not going to have to start from zero. You already have a morning routine, right? This is going to be you just making these really specific tweaks to align your SAVERS or whatever your morning practices are with your goals and this will set you up for success every single day. Okay. And if you don’t have a morning routine at all, alright, well, here you go. You are starting from scratch so it’ll take a little more energy and effort, but it’s going to be exactly what you need as well.

So, let’s talk about the components of a powerful routine and I’m going to, of course, use the SAVERS framework. And each one, we’re going to talk about how each one is specifically designed to help you achieve whatever you want to achieve this year, the specific goals, whether you call them smart goals or your mission or whatever it is. So, these practices are not just random habits. They are tools to help you make meaningful progress towards the life that you want to create. And the first S in SAVERS is silence. Silence is the starting point of a purposeful morning, and it’s where your mind, focus your thoughts, or I should say you calm your mind, you focus your thoughts, and you prepare yourself to take on the day ahead.

So, whether you meditate or you pray or simply sit in stillness, having a silence practice allows you to reset and tune in to what matters. And in terms of how silence helps you achieve your goals, by giving you the space for mental clarity to focus on what’s important. You think about it. Our greatest ideas, epiphanies, breakthroughs, they rarely come to us when our mind is overactive. Think about it. When you’re overwhelmed or distracted, it’s hard to take intentional thought and action. But if you spend a few minutes in silence each morning, it can help you start the day with clarity, with focus on your priorities. It can help create space for you to gain the epiphanies, the intuition, right?

You don’t access your intuition when you’re thinking constantly, right? It’s when you create that space. And it’s interesting because I know for me, my nature is to try to constantly solve things. I don’t know where that comes from, but I’m trying to constantly solve problems, control things. And it’s through moments of meditation or prayer where I access higher consciousness, I create space to listen to the wisdom of God, if you will, and that’s where I have my biggest breakthroughs. And then I have my journal right next to me. We’ll get to scribing at the end of the SAVERS, and I’m often writing down these thoughts and breakthroughs that come in these periods of peaceful, purposeful silence.

Affirmations. Or I really just sum that up, right? So, with silence, I would encourage you to keep your journal right next to you. And the intention is to not only calm your mind and your nervous system, to focus your thoughts, but to just create space to trust, right? They call that surrender, to surrender to the universe, to surrender to God, to surrender to the unknown opportunities and possibilities that you don’t always create. I forgot who it was. It was Michael Singer in his book, Living Untethered, he said, or maybe it was The Surrender Experiment. I love Michael Singer. I’ve read all three of his books, Living Untethered, The Surrender Experiment, and The Untethered Soul.

But to paraphrase what he said, he said, he realized that his greatest gifts in life, his wife, some of his greatest business opportunities, he did not intentionally like he didn’t do something to meet his wife. He didn’t do something for this business opportunity to “fall into his lap.” He surrendered to a bigger plan for himself. And I know this is getting a little woo-woo, but when you think back through your life, how many of the greatest things in your life that you have, you can’t take all the credit, right? Like, the Miracle Morning has sold millions of copies because I went to a dinner and I met Mike Koenigs and we were having a conversation and he said, “I should introduce you to my agent, Celeste Fine.”

Then I met Celeste Fine and the intention was to get a New York publisher. We turned down nine offers for a New York publisher. And then I was so disappointed because none of them were good enough offers. Celeste calls me back and goes, “Hey, I think our foreign rights department, they think the Miracle Morning could do really well overseas. Would you be open to keeping your self-published rights in America and selling the rights in other languages in other countries?” And I asked a few questions like, “What does that look like? I’m not familiar with that.” And long story short, they started shopping the Miracle Morning around, and it was ultimately published and translated in 42 different languages and sold over 2 million copies in those countries. I can’t take credit for that.

Like, I take credit that, yes, I had unwavering faith that that was possible. I put forth extraordinary effort to write the book and get it out there and go to that dinner where I met Mike Koenigs, right? But I can’t take credit. I didn’t set out to go, “I’m going to get this book translated into Japanese and I’m going to make it a bestseller in the country of Japan. And I’m going to do that 42 times in 42 different languages.” And I know this is just one example but how many things in your life just came into your life as blessings, if you will? So, anyway, I share that in the context of the power of silence is that you’re not trying to do something. You’re quieting your mind and you’re creating space for something that you don’t even know that that’s going to come to you in the form of a thought or a feeling or a realization or a breakthrough or a reflection. That’s the power of silence towards achieving your goals.

All right. Let’s go into affirmations. Affirmations, you heard me say this probably before, right, my favorite of the SAVERS, because you get to intentionally design, articulate word-for-word exactly what you need to be at your best. They’re a tool to reprogram your mind for success. They’re a tool to identify and clarify the behaviors that you need to achieve your goals. They’re a tool to recommit every single day, reaffirm, reclarify, recommit to the things that you need to do to achieve your goals. They consciously direct your thoughts and your beliefs and your behaviors to be in alignment with the outcomes that you’re committed to creating in your life.

And so, when you speak your affirmations, whether you think them to yourselves or you say them out loud, you’re not just saying words, right? It’s not just this, “I’m a money magnet. I’m amazing.” Right? And there’s nothing wrong with those affirmations. I love affirming that I am worthy and I’m capable and I’m committed. In fact, I call that my miracle mindset. By the way, if you want to jot this down, the miracle mindset that I believe that we all need, and this is a new clarity around the miracle mindset and how I’m simplifying it. I’m always trying to learn and get better and figure this out. So, the other day, I clarified, “Oh, a miracle mindset, if I had to break it down into three components, it’s worthy, capable, and committed.”

And if you put that in the form of an affirmation, it’s, “I am just as worthy, capable, and committed to achieving my goals as any other person on the planet and I will prove that today with my actions.” I’ll say that one more time. I am just as worthy, capable, and committed to achieving my goals as any other person on the planet and I will prove that today with my actions. So, when you speak your affirmations, you’re reinforcing your commitment to be the person that you need to be and do the things you need to do to achieve your goals. And think about that. This one little example is why a morning routine is so important and critical to achieving your goals.

Because without that focus, and of course, it doesn’t have to be an affirmation. It could be just a written like whatever you want to call it, right, but by focusing every day on what you’re committed to achieving in terms of the goals, why it’s a must for you, what actions you need to take, and every day you’re keeping that top of mind that aligns how you show up with what you’ve decided is most important to you this year. And I’ll give you an example. Going back to, let’s say your goal is to grow your business, an affirmation might be, “I am focused, disciplined, and committed to serving my clients and growing my business every single day.”

If your goal is to strengthen your relationship, your affirmation might be, “I am present, loving, and deeply connected with the people that I care about or someone specific, my wife, my child, etc.” Like, I teach affirmations formula from time to time, right? Like, step one, I’m committed to _____, why it’s a must for me, which action I’ll take? Or what I just shared, that the miracle mindset: worthy, capable, committed. There’s all sorts of formulas. You pick any one that I share or make up your own in the simplest form. And please get this. In the simplest form, an affirmation is simply a reminder of what matters most to you.

And what matters most to you might be the outcome, but it also might be the action that will create the outcome. In fact, it should be one and the same. It should be both. It also might be how you treat a person in your life. And an affirmation, it doesn’t matter exactly how it’s worded. Again, I’ve developed and I’m sharing right now like the way I like to word my affirmations.

But your affirmation could say… One of my affirmations is treat my wife the way she deserves to be treated. And do that, first and foremost, by seeing her the way that God sees her. Treat my wife the way she deserves to be treated and do that by, first and foremost, seeing her the way that God sees her. That doesn’t follow any formula unless you add, I am committed to treating my wife and I’m sure that’s how it’s probably written in my affirmations. But again, understand an affirmation is just a reminder of something that you deem important, something that matters most to you, very much to you. And you’re keeping it top of mind by affirming it every single day, so by affirming your goals every day and the act and why they’re important to you and the actions that you need to take.

And by the way, at the Miracle Year Live Event on January 8, which you can register at Miracle Year, get all the details and register at MiracleYearLive.com. And if you’re a member the Miracle Morning Community, you get 50% off. If you’re an app user, it’s free to you. So, it’s not a huge financial investment. We want to make it affordable, but there’s a lot of time and money that goes into planning this. But we’re going to be walking through, we’re going to lead you. It’s a four-hour event. I’m going to lead you through how to do all of this. And you don’t need to go to the event. You can do this on your own. But of course, I know for me, like if I’m listening to a podcast, I’m also like, all right, if I can go to an event, I’m going to get the handout and I’m going to get led through and get someone guide us and give us thought joggers, all of that. So, just throwing that out there. If you go to MiracleYearLive.com, you can see what it takes to be a part of that.

But affirmations, I’m biased, they’re my favorite. They’re my favorite form of personal development. They’re my favorite of the SAVERS because they are not just the affirmations, that A to me, it’s the anchor. It’s the anchor for the rest of the Miracle Morning because it’s what solidifies everything in writing that I am committed to, why it’s important, what I’m going to do to make sure to reality. And then I build my Miracle Morning around those affirmations.

All right, the V is for visualization. Of course, visualization is like a mental rehearsal for your goals. It’s about creating a vivid picture in your mind of what success looks and feels like. So, what does it look like at the end of the year? What do you want to be celebrating? And that practice helps you stay focused on your goals and build your belief that achieving them is possible. The more you see something over and over and over, the more your mind starts to accept it as a realistic possibility, right? When you visualize something, once you’re like, oh, my gosh, that vision creates fear, I don’t know. But if you do it every day, you acclimate to that vision. And it’s simply, the way it works is it’s taking a few minutes each morning to close your eyes and imagine yourself achieving your goals. See yourself crossing the finish line of that marathon or delivering that big presentation or enjoying the results of a healthier lifestyle or smiling with your spouse at Christmas or at the end of the year, whatever, right?

The more detailed your visualization, the more powerful it becomes. And then once you visualize the end result of the goals you want to achieve and you see it and you feel it and it’s compelling, it’s a compelling vision for you. Then what I believe is the most important part of visualization every day is visualize yourself doing the things today, making the phone calls, going for that run, mentally rehearse yourself taking the actions today while putting yourself in a compelling, peak emotional state so that when you see yourself doing the thing that’s like out of your comfort zone, it’s kind of scary, but you’re rehearsing it in a peak state. So, when it’s time to actually pick up that phone, go for that run, engage with your spouse, you’ve already mentally rehearsed it in your mind, in your body, in your emotions in an optimal way so that you are compelled to do it in real life.

When I was training for my ultramarathon, it was crucial. I visualized every day getting dressed in my running clothes, going for that run and opening that front door, seeing the sidewalk and smiling and being excited. And I hated running. I didn’t like running. And so, when the timer on my phone went off running and initially, when I wasn’t visualizing, I would go, “Ah, I’ll just do it tomorrow. I can miss a day.” And then one mistake turned into two, right? Raise your hand if you can relate to that. One mistake turns into two, turns into three, turns into… I guess I’m giving up again on myself and my goals, right? But I didn’t mentally rehearse giving up. I meant to rehearse, standing up off the couch, going and getting dressed. And so, that’s what happened because I programmed, I use visualization, similar to affirmations, right? To program my mind for the successful behaviors that I needed to achieve my goals. And that’s how you can use visualization in your Miracle Morning to achieve your goals.

All right, exercise. Exercise, the E in SAVERS, it’s not just about physical health. It is about energizing your mind and your body so you can show up fully for your goals. When you move your body in the morning, you increase your energy, you increase your mental clarity, you improve your focus, you set a positive tone for the day. And even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes at the very least, sometimes, if I’m like super pressed and I can’t do a full-blown Miracle Morning, I’ll do 60 seconds of jumping jacks. You should never not do 60 seconds of exercise at the very least because that immediately energizes your body, wakes you up, gets the blood flow, and gives the oxygen flowing to your brain.

But even if it’s just 5 or 10 minutes of movement, it makes a difference. And of course, if your goal is to build strength or improve your fitness, you can use this time for a quick workout or a yoga session. If your goal is to boost your productivity at work, exercise can help clear your mind and start the day with the mindset, with the mental clarity and energy that you need. And remember, the goal is it’s not perfection with any of this, with very few things in life. It’s the goal perfection. It’s consistency. It is consistency.

One of my favorite strategies for implementing a new habit is, let’s say you want to start doing, man, I should start doing 20 pushups a day or 100 pushups a day. We’ll start with one. Do one pushup. Anyone can do one pushup even with… You don’t need much motivation for that, right? And then on day two, maybe you do one, maybe you do two. And the next day, you do three. And the next day, you do four, right? And by day 20, well, doing 20 pushups is easy, but not because you started with 20. It’s because you started with one. Again, the goal is not perfection, it’s consistency. So, whether it’s a brisk walk or a few stretches or a full workout or using the exercise features in the Miracle Morning app, like whatever it is, just start small and build momentum over time.

All right, reading, the R in SAVERS. This is crucial. This actually probably is tied with affirmations when it’s specific to achieving a goal. And the reason is reading is what allows you to learn, to grow, to gain insights that support your goals. So, whether it’s a personal development book that’s like about generally, optimizing your mindset, your habits, your productivity, your time management, or it’s an article specific to your field or it’s a spiritual tax because you need that reconnection with God, whatever it is, reading in the morning helps you acquire the knowledge and the inspiration to move forward.

And I know for me, when I’m in a funk, I almost always realize I haven’t been reading. I’m not reading a book. And then I pick up a book, and the book gets me out of my funk because it shifts my perspective. It gives me things that I can do, new ways of looking at things in terms of perspective, but also, gives me things like actions, like, hey, try this strategy, this strategy will improve your life. And then you try that strategy and go, oh, my gosh, whether it’s a new skill or a strategy.

Here’s a couple of real-life examples. In 2008, I mentioned at the beginning of the podcast, my goal was to double my income and I was a coach at the time. I made my money by coaching salespeople and entrepreneurs and business owners, and so, I needed more clients. And so, I googled, what’s the best book on how to get more clients? And what came up for me was a book called Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port. And by the way, if you have a service-based business, still one of the best books out there, Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port. So, I ordered that book immediately, and I started reading it and I started using my Miracle Morning, my affirmations to, I would take what I’m learning in the book. I would translate them into affirmations. I would read the affirmations that reminded me what I was committed to doing, that I was learning in the book, why it was going to work for me, how it was, and I within two months applying those strategies and doing my Miracle Morning every day, I doubled my income.

Without that book, I don’t think I would have doubled my income. It wasn’t just because of the Miracle Morning in and of itself. Starting my day in a peak state was part of it, but I needed specific knowledge and strategies to grow my income. That’s why’s reading is tied with affirmations when you’re specifically talking about using your Miracle Morning to achieve your goals. When I wanted to run that ultramarathon, I didn’t know how to train for a marathon, so I bought a book called The Non-Runner’s Marathon Trainer, which is a book for people that don’t like running, but they want to run a marathon. And so, that teaches you how to do it, so to speak, right?

So, reading is crucial. Whatever your goals are for this year, grab a book, and maybe for each area, like I read parenting books, I read books on marriage, I read books on spirituality, I read general personal development books, I read business books. So, every goal that you want to accomplish, you should be reading a book, and by the way, or reading an article. That’s the free quick, short way. The difference, by the way, between googling an article on how to grow your business or how to lose weight or how to improve your marriage, the difference is the amount of time that you spend with it. So, if you read an article for five minutes, you go, oh, those are some great ideas. You might forget them.

Now, if you go in your affirmations, you won’t forget them, but you also can only go so deep in five minutes. However, if you’re reading a book on the same topic, whatever, how to improve your marriage and you’re reading a book by the same author and you read that book for three or four weeks before you finish it, well, now you’ve spent three or four weeks as opposed to five minutes reading an article, three or four weeks going deep into the subject matter and spending time with that particular author that has their own unique way of viewing and approaching, improving your marriage. And so, that’s the difference between reading an article or a quick ChatGPT search and actually spending the time to go deep with a book.

But yeah, whatever goal you want to achieve, there’s a book that will help you do that. And reading, I would say 5 to 10 pages a day, the example I gave in the Miracle morning is if you read 10 pages a day, if you’re a fast reader, that’s 10 minutes, let’s say, -ish, 7 to 10 minutes. If you’re slow reader, it’s like 15 minutes, 20 minutes. And of course, you cut the pages in half to five pages, but 10 pages a day, that’s 3,650 pages a year. That’s 18 200-page books. And so, let’s say you cut that down to 12, one book a month. Imagine, if you read one book a month on an area of your life that you want to achieve a goal and you want to improve, you’re going to be a different person in terms of your knowledge and your capabilities throughout the year.

All right, the final S in SAVERS, of course, is scribing, or that’s a fancy word for journaling, scribing is your opportunity to reflect, plan, and track your progress toward your goals. It is a simple but powerful way to process your thoughts each day in writing and stay intentional about how you spend your time. And the processing of thoughts, you think about it, like I don’t know about you, but if you’re like me, my thoughts, I have counteracting thoughts all the time, right? It’s like positive thought, negative thought, empowering belief, limiting belief. Like, I’m just going back and forth.

But when I get it out of my head and I write it down, now I’m able to gain a heightened level of clarity because think about it, your thoughts can bounce all over the place. But when you put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard, it clarifies your thinking. You don’t write the way that you think, right? Like, think about it. If you’re journaling, it’s a stream of consciousness, but you could be thinking about one thing, like your goals, and then you remember, oh, crap, I have to pick up my son from school today and then, who am I going to tell? I got to talk to my spouse. Like, you can just go off on a total tangent, but you’re not going to journal that way. You’re not going to be like, okay, the reason my goals are important to me is because I… you’re not going to then also and write, wait a minute, I have to pick up my son. That’s not how a stream of consciousness works. That’s how random thought works. That’s the power of scribing.

So, start by writing about your goals. What are the actions that you’re going to take today to move closer to achieving them? Focus on one goal at a time. You can also journal in terms of reflecting on your progress so far, identifying any adjustments that you need to make. You can also use the time to practice gratitude. What are you grateful for related to the progress that you’re making or the goals you’ve achieved in this area? Maybe you’re seeking another level of financial abundance, but you can write down what you’re grateful for about the financial security that you have now, which keeps you motivated by focusing on the positive aspects of your life, of your journey.

For example, if your goal is to build a new habit, take any habit in the area of life. Use your journal to track your progress each day. If your goal is financial growth, as we just talked about, write down the specific actions you’re going to take to manage your money or increase your income. There is magic that happens when you put pen to paper. So, those are the SAVERS, right? Most of you, if you’re a Miracle Morning practitioner, you already practice some of the SAVERS or you’re at least familiar with them. The idea here was to target your SAVERS, not just as general personal development practices that are kind of maybe all random, like I’m meditating, just calming my mind, and then I have affirmations on different things. And then I’m visualizing all over the place and I’m reading a fiction book or I’m reading a book on something that really isn’t related to my goals, and my journaling is just kind of generic, like, that’s valuable.

If you have a Miracle Morning, if you’re doing the SAVERS, even if they’re not focused on a specific goal or outcome, it’s valuable. It helps you calm your nervous system, it helps you feel better, think clearer, etc. What today has been about is focusing your SAVERS specifically toward achieving your goals. And this morning routine, the Miracle Morning, there’s a reason that it’s practiced by maybe by you, but by so many people. And I’ll quote Robert Kiyosaki, the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad. I’m going to paraphrase what he said, because I can’t say it’s the exact word for word quote, but it’s pretty close.

But when he had me on Rich Dad Radio, at the end of the episode, the end of our interview, he said, “Hal, I think you named the book correctly,” or he said, either correctly or perfectly, your name of the book correctly by calling it The Miracle Morning. And he paused and I said, “Oh, why do you say that?” And he said, “Because before you wrote the Miracle Morning,” he said, “every successful person on the planet,” he said, “myself included, does at least one or two of the SAVERS, maybe three.” He said, “And they would attribute their success to these six practices. However,” he said, “I’ve never heard of anyone, never met anyone, never heard of anyone.” And he said, “And I’ve been in this game for 30-plus years.” He said, “I’ve never heard of anyone that did all six of these timeless, ancient best practices.” And he said, “Any one of the SAVERS will change your life.” He said, “But the reason I think you named the book correctly by calling it The Miracle Morning is,” he said, “my experience since I’ve been doing this for three months, I do the SAVERS almost every single day,” he said, “my experience has been, it is creating miracles in my life.” He said, “It’s created miracles in my health, in my marriage, and in my business.”

And so, I’m going to leave you with that as a reminder. I don’t know if you’re like many people, maybe you’re not doing your Miracle Morning anymore, maybe you were doing it for a while and you kind of fell off, maybe you’re brand new and this is your first podcast episode, I would start by downloading the Miracle Morning app, watching the Miracle Morning documentary for free on YouTube. Just go type in Miracle Morning Movie on YouTube. If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s a really powerful documentary. And of course, you can get the Miracle Morning book on Amazon.

But this episode was designed to not just guide you but even just to remind you of how powerful these SAVERS practices are that most of you already know about, most of you already incorporate into your day or into your life, or you at least have at some point in the past. So, let today be a rejuvenation, a re-energization to commit to your Miracle Morning. And we talked about in the last couple episodes, like, don’t wait for January 1st to begin your best year ever. It starts with your reflection and your planning and your mindset and your habits now for the rest of this year, right? Don’t wait till January 1st. Start now. Make the next. If you’re listening to this, with a week or two left in the year, commit to cultivate that miracle mindset, you’re worthy, you’re capable, you’re deserving, and get your Miracle Morning dialed in. Implement the habits each day so that you start showing up now at your best as the person that you need to be in 2025, right? Act as if you are that person right now.

All right. So, there you go, y’all. That is how you can optimize your morning routine to achieve your goals in 2025. I love you so much. We got one call, or I guess not a call. We have one episode left in the four-episode series on achieving your goals, making 2025 your miracle year. And next week is the week that we talk about your action, habits, consistency. Okay, great. How am I going to actually follow through with the things that I intended to do when we most of us have experience of falling off track in the past once the initial excitement wears off, once we hit a roadblock, whatever? Next week, I’m going to tell you, I’m going to teach you, I’m going to talk to you, I’m going to walk you through, how do you get yourself to follow through each and every day this year, whether you feel like it or not, to achieve your goals? I love you so much. Thanks for being a member of the Miracle Morning Community and a listener of the Achieve Your Goals podcast. And I will talk to you next week.
