When I was 20, I was driving home when my Mustang got hit head on by a massive Chevy truck. After being pulled out by the jaws of life, I bled out and my heart stopped beating. I stopped breathing. Clinically, I was dead at age 20.
After 6 minutes, I was resuscitated and spent the next 6 days in a coma.
That was my first rock bottom.
I built my body and my career up over the next 8 years…
Then, in 2008, I hit my second rock bottom.
On the battlefield with the rest of the United States’ workers, overnight I lost over half of my monthly income from the career I’d worked so hard on.
I dove into debt and with that into a deep depression.
This time I had no one to take care of me, like with my car wreck, nobody felt sorry for me.
A domino effect led to struggles in every area of my life.
That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands …
Confiding in a friend, he told me that whenever he was feeling stressed or overwhelmed, going for a run enabled him to think more clearly and lift his spirits.
I woke up feeling depressed, but this morning I did something different. I went on that run.
That was the morning that turned my life around.
